Versa 3 Heart Rate Very Inaccurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I do Crossfit-style workouts in addition to running. It has seemed for the last few months that the heart rate my Versa 3 was showing me could not be right. My heart will be hammering and my Versa 3 will show a very low Heart Rate. I've been at the end of a MetCon, heart feeling like it is coming out of my chest, can barely breathe, and my Versa 3 will show my heart rate at 115, 120, or the like.
I work with licensed medical providers and at the end of today's workout I went directly into their office and use one of the fingertip devices they use to get heart rate, and it showed my heart rate at 152bpm, while my Versa 3 showed my heart rate at 97.

Later, at the end of my run, I used the manual method to get my heart rate, which calculated out to 180bpm, while the Versa 3 read 150.

I am a fitness and performance professional, so I know a bit about monitoring heart rate and exercise, so clearly there is something wrong. I'd like to be able to fix it rather than spend money on a new device.

fit bit monitors this page and deletes posts it does not like. Fitbit does not respond with fixes though to the many posts like this. That is why I had to file a complaint with a well known complaint resolution agency that begins with b followed by another b followed by a final b.

This issue is been going on for two years now. I have posted a few times about this. All I got is one scripted reply from the moderator but no answer to my questions.  They just ignore your posts.

Don't expect a fix.

For the time being I will be using my Versa 3 untill it breaks down (won't be long according to all the posts in the community) and move on to an other brand.

Hi @Bluethunder90 - unfortunately replacing the watch won't fix the heart rate issue. Have a look at other posts in the forums.
