Versa 3 battery issues

Hi

 

I updated my Versa 3 to firmware 36.128.6.17 on Wednesday and everything seemed OK but today I noticed that I couldn't get the screen to come on. The device was at 80% battery this morning. When I put the Versa 3 onto the charger it gets very hot (which I haven't noticed previously). I've tried pressing and holding the button multiple times but nothing I've tried has bought it back to life. There are no LED's flashing on the back of the device either. Any ideas?

My Fitbit Versa 3 battery went from 5 to 6 days average battery life before the firmware update to less than one day after. The firmware update seems to be chewing through the battery like nobody's business. Sounds like it may be fried yours?
