Hi, my versa 3 is 8 months old now its not switching on and getting hot when I charge it please help

Do you charge it switched off? There is an issue with both the Sense and Versa 3 whereby if you switch them off, they don't fully turn off and quickly burn through the battery until it goes completely flat. As it is only 8 months old it should still be under warranty so ask Fitbit for a new one.
