Versa 3 screen started acting odd after the update

I updated my versa 3 a week ago and now part of the stuff doesn’t show up. All notifications are blank. Step reminders just show the ring, no words. I tried to unpair it from my phone but now I can’t see the code to pair it again. It is now just an expensive digital watch. And yes I have tried restarting it. It’s almost like the update only halfway completed.

@Rookie123 Thanks for the details provided!

Regarding your exercises, please note you might have unintentionally pressed the button on your watch when you bend your wrist. This may happen during activities such as a workout that require you to move your wrist a lot. That being said, to avoid this from happening again, please try wearing your watch higher on your wrist to avoid hitting the button. For tips on how to wear your watch, see How do I wear my Fitbit device?

About the screen being corrupted, have you tried restarting your Fitbit device and changing the clock face as I've suggested here

As for the connectivity issues after upgrading your phone, it seems that your Fitbit device cannot connect properly to your new phone since you haven't yet forgotten the connection between your watch and the old phone's Bluetooth which would explain the connectivity issues you're running into. With that said, try the steps below:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your old phone's Bluetooth and also from the new phone.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your new phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

Hi there, @Rookie123. Welcome to the Community Forums.

To better assist you, would you mind providing more specific details of the issue you're experiencing with your Versa 3?

In the meantime, I suggest restarting your Versa 3 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

Hope that helps.

Well, there are a couple issues.

1. When I start my workout everything seems normal, however when I get back
home from my walk I notice that somehow the exercise app has stopped and is
not recording my walk. Battery is full and versa 3 says it is synced and I
do take my phone with me when I go.. this has happened about 3 times now.

2. On my fitbit I don't know if it was necessarily after the update but for
the last couple days it shows like my heart rate icon and step icon on my
clock face but no writing or information, when I get a notification or go
into the today or breathe apps on the fitbit it will only display half the
words or some words but missing letters or coloured sections such as where
it says 'log it' are missing the words, and I just have to guess what I am
touching.?

3. Also unrelated issue ever since I got a new phone, it has been unable to
successfully bluetooth to my fitbit versa 3. I have tried re-pairing etc.
But it just says 'couldn't connect' and I made sure that my old phone was
not paired before I stopped using it .

Thanks
