Make sure and go into your notifications on your Fitbit app on your phone and make sure something wasn't accidentally turned off.

@Ludi76- in which case your watch is not staying synced properly.
Try the SimpleCheckUp app. This will tell you when you last synced and if its connecting to the Fitbit App, directly on the watch.
So when you receive a notification on the phone but not on the watch you will be able to check the connection.
A remedy might be to restart both the phone and the watch or look at Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

@Guy_Thanks a lot for this app, way faster than checking on the phone if it's unpaired. Pairing is clearly an issue on the Versa3.
I hope Fitbit noticed your work and that they send you free watches 🙂
A suggestion, if you enjoy webapp development and to be even more useful, it would be ideal if you could add your check to an analog clock (running every "x" mins in the background) to show the status with a green V or a red X. I am pretty sure you have tons of projects and this is not a priority, just sharing ideas here and thank you again !
Have fun
Thanks again !

@TryDebian thanks!
In the more recent firmware status indicators have been added, but they work at their own rhythm and may be responsible for some extra battery usage, so its good to have a way of checking punctually.

Yep, thank you for this precision.
While I am here i can share some feedback about your app :
I just checked pairing and decided to test "find my phone" on your app, as soon as I tried I received 2 emails notifications on my watch and one email was from 3 hours ago. It's weird but useful, looks like using "finding the phone" help with pairing.

Same here, versa 3 has stopped receiving text msg and app notifications once again! It has happened before a few times, have gone through all the battery optimisation etc and had varying success over the last few months. Previous issue was getting the message saying that phone needs restart (which doesnt fix it) and the way to fix it was to clear the fitbit app data and log back in and this worked anywhere from a day to a week or so.
Now I dont even have that message saying to restart phone. Have rebooted watch as well.
So annoying as the notifications is the main reason I wear a so called smart watch
Phone is android (Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro)

Hi @ryadre - you need to see what the SimpleCheckUp app says when you stop receiving notifications to know what the problem is. And to check whether the watch has got into Sleep or Do not disturb mode (swipe watch face to the right to get to Quick Settings).
In addition the Redmi may be a bit special. One option could be to restart it a little more frequently.
Or occasionally logout of the app, clear the storage cache and force stop the Fitbit App.
You can also try to
This will renew the pair and link with the phone and it may make a more enduring connection.

Thanks, yea the SimpleCheckUp app doesnt show any problems.
Yes am aware of the sleep and do not disturbed
Restarting doesnt seem to make any difference, main thing that helps is force stopping, clearing cache/data and relog back in and allow all permissions but it doesnt seem to last as long anymore
Will check out your last comment, thanks mate

@ryadre - thanks, if SimpleCheckUp indicates no problems then it's not a connection problem, but more an app problem.
It shouldn't be necessary to clear data, only cache and remaking a new pair may not help with whatever gets corrupted in the app, but who knows it might.

Yea clearing cache was never enough, had to do the full data and log in.
I have turned bluetooth off and logged back into the app like you suggested to get the pop ups as suggested, so will see how that goes.
Thanks again.

Their are a few reason why your tracker is not receiving messages.
It has lost communication with phone.
Something on the phone got updated and permissions got reset.
Permissions got reset for some other reason.
First thing is to make sure that the app is up to date. Your android needs to be at version 9 or better.
You may need to update iOS.
Then I find the easiest way is to setup notifications. This forces the app to request any needed permissions.
Of course when asking about a phone issue, it is usually helpful to include the phone model or at least the OS on the phone.
