Versa Fail >:/ PLEASE READ

I’ve had a Versa for a little less than a year and a half, tracker had an update last night and unit never turned back on. Called support they did the usual troubleshooting which I had tried and still nothing. The screen is dead but somehow the tracker will count steps occasionally.  IM SO FRUSTRATED AND UPSET THAT THEY DO NOT OFFER TO SEND IT IN TO FIX IT. THEY SHOULD OFFER THAT. Instead they offered %off coupon which makes no sense cuz it’s already at that price if I purchase from Costco 🙄. Oh and I did purchase from Costco and they will not take it back either. Basically Fitbit support said toss this in the trash and buy a new one. SURE let me trash $200 because you guys know there’s a problem and don’t fix it. Like money grows on trees. 🙄🙄🙄 I just want to throw it in their face. The support says it is a problem and he’s pretty sure the company knows it. Why do they do this? There’s a reason why the warranty is only for a year....They know it will malfunction on the 366th day ughhhhhhh!!!!!!!

This happened to me too after updating it.. still does not open!

I'm in the same position - I bought mine last June (less than 1 year!) from a French retailer (FNAC) for nearly 200 euro... My Versa is currently unresponsive and failing to update over and over after the firmware update on Monday. I don't want to buy another Fitbit if it's going to fail within the year after delicate use. I literally only wear it as a watch, I never swim or shower with it, and still it can't handle it. I'm looking at other brands if this situation isn't sorted within the next few days, but I'm upset that I wasted all that money.
