I don’t even know why I’m surprised, after the absolute disappointment from the app update, but the firmwear finally matches the app and I continue to become less and less enchanted with Fitbit.
Now the app too looks as if it was designed for a DT GCSE project by a bunch of 15 year olds - the selection for exercise type is SO BORING. Why do Fitbit keep changing things that we’re good to begin with to such worse formats - why have they not listened to their customers at all from the app update feedback?!
My main gripe now is that the clock face on the app and the clock face on my watch are not matching up. There’s been a weird font change on my watch which I don’t like, but cannot see an option to change it back to what it was?
About 8 or so people have asked me what I think about Fitbit since the app update (tis the season for gift buying after all) and I’ve convinced every single one of them to choose an Apple Watch. I myself will be moving over as soon as I can afford to do so, as I’m sick of the awful app and software and these ridiculous updates which feel more dated than anything.

The difference is subtle yes, but for something I’ve been looking at every day for 6 months straight, it’s upsetting and very different to me. I never consented to all these changes and there should be a choice for the old formatting!

You can change it back by going into my watch faces and then selecting the settings option. You’ll have to click back and forth between one you don’t like and the one you want a couple of times because it’ll probably show the one you want as being selected (mine was like this), so just keep going back and forth until it sticks.
Beyond that, I’m with you and moving to Apple with the next function that vanishes. It sucks as I’d just got a Versa 2 (replacing my original Versa that’d been stolen) and when the update from Hell occurred a few weeks later, I continue to regret not taking the opportunity for a fresh start with Apple.
I have a bad feeling about where things are headed for everyone not using a full lineup of Alphabet-owned products.
