Versa HR not matching HR in Fitbit App

I may have spoke too soon about no bugs with my Versa. I just did my first treadmill workout, and I always keep the Fitbit app open to see in real time. The heart rate in real time on the app was not even close to what the Versa was saying in real time. And it wasn’t a lag issue and wasn’t a consistent difference. It was 20 bpm higher than what the app showed in real time then it was 15 bpm lower than what the app showed in real time. At one point my watch said my heart rate was at 120 bpm and the app said my heart rate was 159 bpm. I was jogging so in that instance I tend to think the app was more on point.

Here’s the thing — I know all about the reliability of heart rate monitors on a person’s wrist, I’ve been using fitbits for years. My charge 2 would always show the SAME THING on the watch as it did in the app in real time.

I’m curious what’s going on here and which one was more accurate. I’m also curious which one is logged (since obviously the calorie count is going to be affected by whichever reading the app used).

I still love the watch. I just want this figured out and fixed.

Hmmmm.... Try restarting the versa and app and see if that helps.

Possibly unrelated...but I noticed today that my Android Fitbit app was not showing my Versa HR history...although it was showing the live value correctly.   I had moved from a Charge HR to the Versa.

I removed the HR "box" from the Phone fitibit app, and when it reappeared it did look accurate with history.

So I guess I'm suggesting if you moved from one Fitbit to another, try removing the HR widget from your phone fitbit app and re-adding it.

That would delete all menu items though. A lot of hassle I had to go through deleting my fitbit from my accounts and re-adding them...
