Versa HR too high

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'm having a similar heartrate issue, but mine is reporting way too high, in the 150 range with no exercise taking place.  I also see only 1 light alternating between green and red, never really noticed the red light before.

I have tried to showdown, restart process a couple times, have tried to toggle off and on the heart rate monitoring, and each time the heart rate starts reading at a normal level, and then climbs back up.

I can also echo the issue on sleep tracking, last night it did not track my sleep stages.

Help!!!

@focker240 Hey! Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Nice to see you become a member. Smiley Happy

I moved your post to its own topic since what you described sounds like a separate issue. The green and red lights flashing on the sensor are normal behavior. To troubleshoot some of your issues I would like to recommend you consider how tight you are wearing the watch on your wrist.

For the watch to accurately gather and record heart rate(HR), it needs to be snug so there is always contact on your skin. This is especially important at night when you want to track sleep and gather sleep stages. Check out this article for more info: What should I know about sleep stages?

As far as accuracy goes, this all depends on how you're wearing the watch along with algorithms at work and your environment. Read this article: How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?

Hope this information helps! Let me know if you still have problems.

I've been reading a few of the other threads and had already tried/verified the suggestions you mentioned. I've had the watch for a little over a month, worn it the same way the entire time and yesterday is the first time these issues have cropped up.

I will say that as of this post, the HR reading has gone back to normal levels for the last 2 hours or so, and the red light appears to have gone away as well.

I will check and see if sleep stage tracking returns this eve and report back with the results.

I'm having the same issues with heart rate reading way too high. I've had my versa for 5 months, this became an issue for the past 4-6 days. I'm wearing the watch the same way as in the past, I've tried turning heart rate on/off/on, turned the versa off, tried syncing it again, this helps for a few minutes, than starts rising even though I'm sitting still. My versa registered over 330 active minutes on Tuesday, I was not active for over 100 minutes that day. This all started when my app was updated on my phone.

Today when I sync my versa says I have 12/12 hours steps reached, but the app says 9/12, active minutes don't match and neither do calories burned. Steps/distance/floors do match.

It looks like my issues started yesterday eve, and ended a couple hours ago. Nothing different in my routine.

It appears since my last post that the issues I was experiencing have resolved themselves.  Sleep tracking and normal HR readings, despite not doing anything other than rebooting the watch a couple times and waiting.  Very odd but glad it fixed itself!

@focker240 Thanks for the update! So happy to hear your issues resolved themselves. Smiley Happy

@Nicolecooper241 Hey, there! Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

If the lights are no longer turning on, then I highly recommend performing a restart. After you do the restart, connect the watch to the charger and wait for it to reach a full battery. If you're still having trouble afterward, please let me know.
