Versa - Inaccurate (overestimates) Step counts and Floors Count !!

Its been 6 days since I am wearing versa and this is my first fitbit device. Its disappointing that It overestimates Steps and Floors climbed.

Step Counts:

Yesterday morning I woke up with 17 steps and I've noticed that step count increases (varying from 50 to sometimes 200 steps) even when I am sitting idle watching TV. Not sure whats going on with the logic behind the stride length here. Its 5 past midnight here and I've not moved from my bed and its already 4 step count.

Floors Climbed:

No matter I've actually climbed floors or walked at elevation I have always got my floors count added up. Everyday when I reach my office (no floors climbed) I get at least 2 floors count. At the end of the day its around 15-20 floors climbed which seems to be double then what I've actually climbed. Last two days I have not climbed any floors nor walked or ran at elevated area and I've got atleast 4-5 floors climbed. There were instances when fitbit versa identified floors climbed and steps I walked in my dreams (2 floors climbed when I woke up).

I have tried resetting versa couple of times and tried calculating the floors climbed as suggested in some other forum but looks like I always get the overestimated result.

Unacceptable as it isn't an intermittent issue and occurs everyday. I am really disappointed with the way it behaves and I am looking for any official comments on when it shall be fixed else I might end up returning the product.

I totally agree. I just got the Fitbit versa and I have had the Fitbit one for a long time and it’s extremely accurate. So frustrating and disappointing to have the versa be soooo inaccurate

Also agree. I'm on Day 2 and these overestimates are very high. I compared mine to my wife's Garmin and I'm at least 2x higher in steps and stairs for the same trip. I'm much taller so I'd expect fewer strides vs her or the average (default) setting.

This is my first fitness device and now I suspect all of the data. I'm getting award badges 3x a day. I won't be keeping it long at this rate.
