Versa Lite hasn't synced since initial setup

Brand new. Just fully charged it last night and went through setup. Everything appeared to go fine. Now, despite being all day sync, it says it last sync'd at 5:47am. Manual sync does nothing. I try to load apps or change watch face, I get error that it is not connected. I have restarted the phone and watch. Bluetooth says it is paired. Can't say I've seen any notifications on it yet either. So frustrated with Fitbit right now. I decided to give this product a chance after having owned several fitbits in the past, but I wanted more smartwatch capabilities. This seemed to fit the bill. But brand new out of box it can't sync???? And no support avenue in the company other than this "community"? Asinine.

Thanks for the troubleshooting steps that you've tried. I totally see where are you coming from, and I'm sorry that you've gone through this situation. This shouldn't be happening, and I'll help you out with this. As you may know, there are some factors that may prevent your Versa Lite from syncing, so make sure of the following:

  • Your phone is a fully supported device
  • Your phone OS and the Fitbit app are updated.
  • Your Fitbit device and phone are within 20 feet.
  • To avoid any interference, turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
  • If you use more than one device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby.

If those conditions are met, please give a try to the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Remove your device from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Close the Fitbit app from the open apps, and reboot your phone one more time.
  3. Make sure your phone is connected to a strong WiFi connection or mobile data.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap on the account icon and setup a device.
  5. Choose the Versa Lite, and tap on replace device.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions.
