Versa Lite is losing steps after syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The last few days I’ve noticed with my versa lite, I’ll get my step goal during the day. Then when I sync it with my iPhone I magically lose steps, to the point that I haven’t reached my step goal. I had 11k steps recorded tonight, but after syncing it dropped me down to 8800. I’ve updated my versa and restarted it and the problem persists.
anyone else notice this or having similar issues?

Hi there @Nhogan, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa Lite before reaching out.

Does this issue started happening after the update on your Versa Lite? Does this happen every time you sync your watch or is intermittently?

In addition to the steps you've tried, please try removing the Bluetooth connection between your phone and your Fitbit device:

*On your phone, tap Settings Bluetooth > the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device > Forget This Device.
*Open the Fitbit app and set up the connection again. You should receive a message asking you to allow your Fitbit device to pair with your phone. Tap Pair to approve the request.

Sync your Versa Lite automatically when you open the Fitbit app or manually by tapping your profile picture > your device tile > Sync Now.

Thanks for your reply. It happened before and after the update. I just redid the bluetooth connection and will see if that makes a difference.

It did it again! I had 12,237 steps today, synced with the phone and everything. Synced again before bed and my Fitbit now had a step count of 10779 and changed the synced data on my phone. It’s so bizarre. The only thing I can think of would be the link with Strava throwing it off? As the Fitbit distance is really overestimated compared to actual mileage.

Any other suggestions? Super frustrating losing a couple thousand steps every day.
