Versa Lite losing time

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa lite keeps losing time. Yesterday I did a factory reset, removed Bluetooth  deleted the fitbit app, rebooted my phone and did an update that took over an hour. This morning it was twenty minutes behind, then after I re synced my phone, it fixed up time. It has been like this for well over a week, every night. I use my versa as an alarm, so this is getting very frustrating.

Hi @Hippypippa, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back! Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting your device prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Let me share with you that our Fitbit devices use your mobile device information to display the time with the syncing process, therefore, by simply syncing your Versa Lite it should display the time that's configured on your Android mobile device.

However, this may also be fixed by updating the time zone setting in your Personal Settings. For step-by-step instructions, please see our help article: How do I change the time on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

I'll be around, let me know if you have any additional questions.

Hi. I reset the time to another country last night then changed it back. Time was wrong again this morning. I have had this device for 12 months and have never had this problem before. I have sync on all day. It has always synced without issue.

I’m having the same problem but it only started March 1, 2020. It is thoroughly aggravating, I’ve done all the recommended repairs but it keeps happening.

I had this problem not long ago and It ended up being a clock face issue. I used the bitmojie face for months and all of a sudden it started losing time. I tried everything and it kept happening. I changed to another clock face and havnt had an issue since. Its worth a shot if you havnt tried it yet.

I tried everything that was suggested, but nothing changed. Fitbit have now replaced the watch. Not the bands or charger, just the fitbit itself.

I never changed the clockface from the one it came with. It seemed to be more of a Bluetooth and syncing issue. Fitbit have sent me a replacement.

Did you have to request a new one?

No. You change them through the phone app.  If you never changed from the original clockface that probably isn't what is causing the time loss.  Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE device

I took lots of photos of the wrong time next to a clock, and sent them through to support. Did everything that they wanted me to, then they advised that they would replace. Didn't replace the whole Versa Lite, just the actual device, retained old bands and charger.

Thanks. I’ve tried everything including downloading a new watch face and it is still losing time. In just 10 minutes after syncing it was already 2 minutes late.
Who did you get in touch with to resolve the issue?

I have been experiencing the same issue for nearly a month.  It won't sync until the battery dies and I charge it again.  But it starts losing time as soon as I take it off the charger.  I have unpaired it, deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted the device, and followed every suggestion listed in the help section.  Nothing seems to cure the problem.

this just started for me as well yesterday with 30 minutes behind. Did all the above. Unpaired, Uninstalled app. Paired again (that was a booger) reinstalled app, finally, got it to work. Noticed this morning it was 2 minutes behind. By noon, 10 minutes behind. Now, 20 minutes. I've rebooted phone, and device, and last sync was at 9:26 this morning. I changed time zone to Africa, then back to my time zone, and tried to force sync it but won't sync. Said device not found. Restart devices, try to sync, but has a pink exclamation point. I was given this as a gift 9 months ago. Whats up with this?

Daughter has done everything above that's been suggested.  Trying to change the bitmoji ckock now but doesn'twant to connect.  It won't sync but once a day, sometimes 2x a day.  Have had over a year and just now having trouble this last week or so.

I've just started having the same problem. They've replaced mine once after I had it a month. I'll have to get on the chat when I have some time and go through the process. Mine only happens at night. Right now it's almost an hour behind. I get notifications and everything else seems to work but the clock isn't right. At some point after many failed sync attempts suddenly it matches my phone. I don't know. I'll try to see if they can help.
