Versa Lite stopped working altogether

Hi, I have had a versa lite for about 2 years and recently (within the last 6 months) it has gone to absolute crap. At the beginning of the issues I went swimming with it on in shallow water (the lite says it is swim proof) and did not full submerge it. Directly after this my heartrate monitor stopped working and the green flashing light in the back wouldn't turn on. I had factory reset the device, turned on and off the heart rate monitoring option (turn off, restart the device, turn back on monitoring), disconnected and reconnected to my my app, and checked for updates on the versa. All this tried, nothing worked. I mostly use my fitbit for the sleep tracking and that is not possible without the heartrate monitor. Well I stopped wearing the device for a few months and I recently went to charge it, It refuses to turn on. I understood that the battery would be dead but after having it connected to the charger for a few hours, the screen wont even turn on or show the fitbit symbol(yes I tried cleaning he connections to the charger aswell). I have recently heard about the recall and have no clue if any of my problems follow the current recall but I would like to get my fitbit fixed or at least find out if it is a lost cause.

If anyone can help me with this problem I would greatly appreciate it, I really enjoyed using the device and want it to work for my sleep and step tracking again.
