Versa Overestimating Mileage

Hi!

Wonder if anyone could help me with an issue I've got with my new Versa.

I've just upgraded from an older Blaze to a Versa, I love it, but, it seems to me massively overestimating the amount of miles I'm walking and I'm not sure why.

I'm 6'1" and found with my old Blaze that as a rule of thumb, 1 Mile would equate to about 1900 steps. The mileage was reasonably accurate on that (maybe slightly underestimated if anything) as I checked it against Strava using a GPS. However after just 5000 steps this morning my Versa is telling me I've clocked 4.5 miles, which is pretty much double what I'd have expected.

I don't have a custom stride length set, I've left it as the default that Fitbit has calculated for my height which is 30.3 inches, which seems about right.

If anyone has any pointers I'd be grateful.

Thanks,

Jamie

No pointers unfortunately but I had the same problem  today.  Upgraded from One to Versa and up until today the Versa was NOT counting all my steps about 1.5 mile lower than it should be.  Then suddenly today it was 3.5 miles MORE than it should have been.

Anyone else? Really regretting my purchase. Customer Support have been less than helpful. I think it’s refund and a Garmin or Apple Watch time...

I'm having the same issue. Every time I sync the miles get higher even if I haven't taken another step. I'll have no choice but to return it if there isn't a fix by the end of the day.

I took mine back for a refund.

Fitbit told me when pressed that they were aware of the issue but didn't have a fix.
