Versa Strap Pin Broken

I just bought my Versa two days ago (special edition) and when I went to change out the strap, I got one in easily and the other just wouldn't stay on. Then I noticed the pin came broken (I didn't break it, it's just already broken). If I take it to the store will they have replacement pins for free? It seems unfair if I have to buy a whole new strap when it came broken, and they could easily say I broke it myself...

Edit: Contacted customer support and they said the shop should be able to replace it under the warranty if before 30 days. They gave me a case number to follow up with in case the shop doesn't cooperate, but I hope all goes smoothly.

Jane, my Versa came with 2 extra pins and the extra bands had pins in them.  They are easily replaced. Check closely in the box the Versa came in.

Unfortunately the shop didn't have extra pins, and there were no extra pins inside the box, but I ended up just using one of the large straps instead of the small.

@janelou1993 sorry for the delay in my reply. Thank you for checking the other wristband like @SunsetRunner suggested. Even though you couldn't change the band I am happy to hear that you are using your Versa with the other wristband and hope you enjoy all the feature it has. I know you will reach your fitness goals in no time.

was excited to upgrade to versa (instead of apple watch) from my charge 2 (had alta before) for swimming...but returning versa today (going back to charge 2 until purchase apple watch) bc the strap attachment with fragile pins and lever is horrible!!! [why not keep charge slideon attach?] i have had versa for 10 days and it has popped off doing nothing twice ( once into snow and once in shower)...good thing i noticed or byebye $! whats gonna happen when i swim, workout etc???! so no fitbit upgrade to versa til secure strap design (like charge) or off to apple watch

My versa 2 has just began this nightmare .Thinking it must be a defective or worn pin, I ordered new ones. The problem persisted. Upon magnified exam of watch body. The bored holes where the strap pins mount into the watch body are plastic and have worn to the point that the pins cannot remain secured and just pop out. This occurred on my Alta Hr as well . Quality products seat pins in metal holes not plastic. Fitbit advises me watch is out of warranty and offer a 35 percent discount on new watch. Really Fitbit? This use of plastic on a moveable part and the wear that would occur should have been anticipated by design team . Now my 250 dollar versa 2 like my Alta hr lie in a drawer waiting for the eventual clean out the desk day. I had refused to purchase anything by this company after the nonsense with my Alta HR. But a family member, to my chagrin. Opted to purchase it for me for Christmas . The first band failed after  a few months. The new band held fine for quite some time and then began detaching at random. New pin did not resolve issue. Magnifying glass reveals wear groove in plastic molding on watch sides. I am sickened by this and will not purchase or endorse poor design in any instance. Fool me once, shame on you Fitbit, fool me twice........
