On 06/10/19 was at the store and noticed that my watch screen would not wake up. It wouldn't come on when I hit any of the buttons. Thought it was the battery. Got home, put it on the charger and it said it was at 73% battery. Let it charge to 100%. Started working again and a few hours later it died again. No backlit screen or anything. None of the buttons working. Final sync was at 6:07pm. Later that evening I decided to factory reset. Went into settings and hit the factory reset button. The watch went through the motions and when it came up it said to install the app. Of course, the app is already on my phone. So, all the phone does is tell me to download the app in umpteen different languages. The phone will not come on at all unless it is in the charger. I have read forum after forum and tried everything they have said to do but nothing works. Have had the watch since February. Seriously Fitbit, this problem has been going on for over a year and you haven't fixed it? What shall I do now? (Using a Samsung Note 😎

When a factory reset is done, the watch is as if it was just removed from its box and no longer setup to a users account.
The setup message is simply saying that the user has to do an Add Device through the Fitbit app..

Have you performed an add device through the Fitbit app.
Your last post stated that you are unable to download and install the Fitbit app.
I'm also not sure what is cycling but until the tracker is setup it will not work.
Fitbit app - settings - add device - follow prompts.

Yes performing a factory reset will bring the tracker back to factory condotions. You should not be surprised when the tea jet is telling you to do a setup.
