Versa UNDERestimating calories burned??

So I’ve been using my Versa since December to track steps and calories and started questioning my workouts & calories burned. Sometimes I’d work out for 40+min and vigorous of ME, but have a low calorie burn. So I tried to wear my Polar HR chest strap along with the polar watch transmitter AND my Versa on the other hand and am coming up with quite a difference in calories.

HR seems to be tracked nearly the same, but outcome is different?

I have checked my stats on both devices and they’re both input correctly and HR is clearly detected.

Chest straps are said to be way more accurate so I’m wondering if my Versa is off somehow?? Can i troubleshoot this?

@Vivscott03 Chest straps will be more accurate only in regard to reading heart rate. That's all. First, it's awesome to see that Versa measures heart rate so accurately when side by side a chest strap. Regarding calories, Versa's algorithms take into account lots of things, your profile info (age, gender, weight, height, etc.) but also the type and intensity of movement. Based on that and previous data from population-based observations, fitbit can estimate how many calories you burn. You can always reboot your tracker by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until fitbit logo flashes, but I think you should be really happy with the results. :It's a good workout and calorie burn!!! 😄 You can also take a look on the internet how many calories one burns for this type of exercise. There are calculators out there! 😄

Yeah. Your calorie burn looks pretty normal on the Versa. I would trust that one unless you did an absolutely killer work out in that hour.
