Versa - Worthless product? for me at least?

So i bought a versa for primarily sleep tracking. Its actually doing a decent job of it.

I actually liked monitoring my steps far more than i thought. Unfortunately its counting driving as steps. Often fireworks are going off and my versa is vibrating when I've barely walked that day. I'm an outreach worker who gets in and out of my car - helps someone in their house then drives somewhere else. Support have told me that to fix this issue its best to take my watch off while i drive. This is rubbish, i cant be bothered doing that. I'd be taking it off 15 times a day. It doesn't even have a driving mode - which would also be tedious but maybe i could accept that. It's a shame, i definitely wont be recommending the product to anyone.

I'm not sure how taking the watch off will help, the problem is with the bumpy roads or the cars suspension.

Fitbit monitors steps by looking at the movement of the arm, and there are times arm movements will be recorded as false steps. Unfortunately this is a problem with every electronic step counter on the market, even the waist mounted ones

While you could record each drive as driving there are two apps that will help here.

Drivebit and travelbit. One of them has an auto detect drive feature and will remove the steps without the user needing to do anything.
