Versa and Static Bike activity logging

Hello guys,

I am using for now an old FitBit 101 for about 4 years.

A part of my sports activity is ridding on a static bike on different levels including spinning. In order to have this activity logged on the database, I'm putting the Fitbit One device on my sock, so every half step is recorded. It is not a complete solution, but at least a part of the steps are recorded and together with it the calories burned and the distance.

I would like to move on to a new Versa device and the static bike activity is still important to me.

I would like to ask you if there is any way to have the Versa record the amount of steps during ridding the static bike, and if so, how it can be done ?

Thanks !
