Versa button has stopped working

My Versa has stopped responding to presses of the Back button.  I have tried restarting the Versa twice and have cleaned around the button using a toothpick and canned air.  Although I was able to restart the Versa twice, pressing the back button will not exit menus or turn on the screen.
