Versa charging cable damaged

Not quite a month and a half old and the charger is going south. Have to wiggle and wiggle the usb plug and it'll charge for a bit then die, wiggle wiggle, and repeat 3-4 times to get the versa charged. No way I'm I paying $30 plus tax/shipping for something that will probably die again in 2 months. I bet the cheap ones on Amazon that look exactly identical for half the price or less come from the same factory, just unbranded. I just wiggle for now while I decide. Who is fitbit's designer, Jethro Bodine?

Contacted support (twitter, really?) and they sent a new one within days. So all good.

Have you tried calling Fitbit to have them replace it? For the length that you have owned it, I think it’s unacceptable that it’s already having problems. Fitbit should send you another replacement and hopefully you don’t have to send that one in first.

I might see what they say but considering the nightmare and hoops one has to jump through (from just reading others stories here) not going to hold my breath. Can't wait for the "post a video" reply when I do.
