Fitbit app says battery full but cannot get anything up on the screen. This is the first time I've used it. It's not brand new but don't think it has been used by previous owner

You need to plug it into a laptop and hold down the power button, then you can connect it to your account.

Hi @mistymole - check in the app when it last synced because it may be an old battery reading.
As @WendyOl says it may simply need charging for 2 hours, during which time check it does not get hot, and if so stop immediately.
Also double tap the screen it should show it's charging and what level it's at.
If after 2 hours there is nothing on the screen press the left button for 2 seconds to start it.
If still no response, try restarting it. How do I restart my Fitbit device?

I have tried that, no luck with either of our units

Hi @Shajohn - this may sound obvious but the Versa 2 and Versa have different chargers even though they look alike, so easily mixed up.
Make sure you are using the correct ones and the power source is working.
It is rare for a Versa or Versa 2 charge cable to fail and if you ordered a new one it might not be the right one.

Have done that and have bought separate chargers for both, no luck I am afraid
