Versa counting changes in elevation as stairs climbed

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I drove from eastern KS to Denver CO today and my Versa counted this change in elevation as 356 floors climbed!  Although I had the added steps from driving problem as well (and know what I will do to avoid this in the future!)  what can you do about the stairs?  I deleted  all that I could to reset, but still--this was weird!  I love my Versa so much more than my old Flex 2 and I'd like to find a work around for this.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do as the stair count is based on elevation, so if you go up when the teacker thinks you are walking (even if you are not as in driving) it will see if as stairs. Apparently if you go up in an elevator it wont count stairs unless you walk around the elevator carriage as it ascends (though I havent tried this!)

My Versa gives me stairs when I get out of bed in the morning. I got 168 flights while riding in the car and changing altitude. It didn’t do that at first. It was accurate it first. I swim every day so wonder if the being 102 degrees for an hour a day has anything to do with that.
