Alarm function not always working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a new Versa special edition. I set an alarm for Mon-Fri at 6:20am. Half the time the alarm does not work. Sometimes the Versa wants me to login which i guess is due to the credit card NFC feature. Is that what is preventing the alarm from going off in the morning. Anyone else having issues with their alarms not always working?

Same here. It works one day then not the next, even though I haven't changed anything on the device or app. Really annoying!

I’m having the exact same issue. It’s very annoying! My Blaze never had this problem. Is there any way to fix it?

I had this happen to me for the first time yesterday!! I've been using the alarm on my SE versa for 2 weeks, this being the 3rd. Yesterday (Monday) it didn't go off for me and luckily my dog woke me up 15 mins after I should have gotten up!

I ended up turning the alarm off, turning it back off, and setting a phone backup alarm this morning but it went off as normal again. I was wondering if maybe I accidentally was sleeping on a button and silenced it or something yesterday morning? Who knows, but it did happen to me too!

This is the second time my alarm didn't go off today (Ive now set a backup every day)

Here's one thing I did different last night.... seems silly but I don't do this every day with my Versa!

I charged the device... to 100%!

Not sure why, but charging the device to 100% also seems to screw with my clock face. The clockface never syncs up with the new fully charged device when I go full 100%. I noticed it this morning, after my alarm didn't go off. I ended up restarting my device (left button and bottom right, holding it). We'll see if it goes off tomorrow.

Not sure why this would have anything to do with settings being messed up, but it's really the only thing I did to the device last night out of the 'norm'. I usually just charge it when I shower and bring it to the upper 80s or low 90s percentage wise.

Thank goodness for dogs, right? 😉

Hello everyone and welcome to the Community! Sorry to hear  about your Versa's alarms not working consistently. I suggest you remove the alarm completely (not just turn it off), save the settings and then re-enable them on your Versa. Additionally you can restart your Versa by doing the following:

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

@Accupulse did share a great tip in a different thread: "I had added a credit card to mine to use the NFC feature. It kept wanting
me to sign in qith a pin every hour or so. There is a setting that says
only prompt for pin when the NFC is open. I chose this and the alarm seems
to be working better now. Maybe the issue is due in part to this security.
Maybe it cant open the alarm without the security put in. ??"

So feel free to try this too.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi, thanks for this tip. Where can I find the setting that prompts for the pin, please?

I have tried completely removing the alarm and resetting it, but it still does not work consistently. This week, it went off on Monday but not subsequent days

I have (and had) the NFC feature enabled and working for maybe 2 weeks now and have had the same alarm issue the entire time. Yet again today it didn't go off. When I woke up to my backup alarm, and looked at my device, it was asking me to punch in the code. I was thinking maybe that the NFC was actually the issue if it's locking up my device some mornings and not others.

I have just completed a factory reset (Fitbit suggestion) and will see what happens, have you tried turning off NFC code and seeing what happens ?

I have the same issue, but it does not ask for the NFC.
