I am very disappointed with Fitbit response to my Versa problem. My watch continues to track my driving as steps, and all they offer as a solution is a guidance on how to delete data. They argue that the car ride might be bumpy or it might be the wind, but come on guys.... even my iPhone has been better about tracking my daily steps. Considering returning the product.

Hey @Laurag1214, a warm welcome to the Community.
Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. Fitbit has worked hard to make sure that our devices do not pick up false steps or activity recordings while driving. Unless you're driving in a car with a very stiff transmission or on bumpy roads, your Versa should not register extra information.
Now if your Versa is registering extra data, as recommended you can take a look at this article and follow the steps to negate your false information.
I hope this helps, catch you later.

Great response. You just gave the same response she alluded to in her post. Winner is not you. Thanks for following the troubleshooting tree like a robot

Great response. You just gave the same response she alluded to in her post. Winner is not you. Thanks for following the troubleshooting tree like a robot. How about this as a solution. Fitbit creates an activity which continues to track heat rate and negates the steps, gasp, automatically! What a novel idea! They can call it something like.....wait for it.....”Driving”. Or “Flying” or “Rollercoaster”. Or any activity that could potentially log steps while you are actually plastered to your bum

My Versa does not seem to be bothered by driving in a car, but when I ride my motorcycle, it definitely gets freaked out. A five mile ride will typically net me somewhere in the neighborhood of 900-1000 extra steps and 10-12 additional flights of stairs.
I've used an app called DriveBit that works pretty well to log driving time, but you have to manually turn it on and off when you start and stop. Works really well, as long as you remember to use it. It's not a great solution, but it's a solution. It's really my only beef with the Versa.

Hello @Spaceage thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. 🙂
I appreciate you have joined the conversation and shared your experience with us. I'm very glad that you have found Drivebit to be very helpful. Note that it's possible your Versa is counting steps while you ride a motorcycle as the vibrations created by the motorcycle might affect the watch. However, I would like to thank you for sharing your solution with us.
In case you have some spare time, I would like to invite you to visit our Discussions board where you will find great tips and encouragement from other members and if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted!
