Notifications Have Stopped

Hi - since the last update, I am no longer receiving notifications on my Versa. (I have an iphone)

Here is what I have done to troubleshoot myself:

1. Restarted my phone, the app, and my Versa

2. Checked and verified that all notification toggles are marked ON. And then toggled them off, re-synced, and then toggled back on, and re-synced. (Checked the watch itself, the Fitbit app, and through the setting on my phone. All are on.)

3. Turned off and back on the bluetooth.

4. Tried different watch faces.

Added weird bonus. If I pull down the notifications, they're there, but I don't get a vibrate, nor do they come across the screen when they come in.

As I stated above, this didn't start until the last update. My mom also has a Versa and said that hers recently stopped receiving notifications as well. Is this a known bug with the latest release, and is there any timeline to when it will be fixed?

Ok - I dug around on this forum and found a solution.

If you hold the button on the left hand side for a few seconds, a screen will come up that says music controls. Swipe that to the left and another screen will come up that says 'screen awake' and 'notifications'.

Somehow, that was turned off on my watch, but on my app, and another place in my phone, they were all on. Once I flipped that back on, I was good to go.

I text my mom the solution and hers was mysteriously off, too.

May just be a weird coincidence, but considering neither of us knew that toggle existed within that button on the left side, I have to assume the latest update had a bug that flipped that off. Just my very uniformed opinion.

Hopefully that's the answer for you too!

I have an android phone, and I've also stopped receiving notifications. I've been a loyal fitbit customer since 2014, and I just purchased another tracker by a different company. Way to many issues with the versa. I wouldn't even feel comfortable selling it with all it's issues.

I am having the same issue. Weeks ago, mysteriously stopped receiving text and phone call notifications. I do receive inconsistent notifications   for some apps such as Instagram; however, they are never accompanied with the expected vibration.

I have gone through the same troubleshooting steps outlined above with no success. I am considering doing factory reset as last resort if fix isn’t issued SOON!!

Thanks melodie_621! My notifications  were set to “off” too. ( Have no idea why as every other notification setting was on!)

Thanks for your help! Looking forward to receiving notifications again!
