Versa display corrupted

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

There is a black line going through my display that stays in place as I scroll the screen over. I’ve had this device only a little over a week and have done nothing that could have damaged it. I don’t even put it in water despite it being waterproof. I’ve contacted Fitbit and all they have told me so far is to try turning it off and on again, which is obviously the first thing I’ve tried. Just wondering if I’m the only one experiencing this issue or if someone’s knows how to do fix it. Very disappointed, I spent nearly $300 on this device and I’m already running into problems.

A warm welcome to the Community @breecynthia.

I am sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with your Versa display. Could you please provide me with a photo of this black line by following the instructions provided in this post? In the meantime, try to restart your watch by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Hope to hear from you soon. Robot Happy

These watches use LCD screens.  A line of dead pixels is almost certainly a damaged screen, especially if they are always present after resetting and never move when scrolling.  It can happen with any LCD screen.  Given that you've only had it a week I dare say it's nothing you have done, unless you subconsciously ran into a wall at full pace wrist-first. Smiley Wink

Go get it replaced so you can actually enjoy using it.

Update! I’ve been in contact with Fibit support over the course of several days and they are going to send me a replacement tracker!

I have the same black line that goes through the center of my enter display screen.  I have no idea what to do about it.  I proudly wear and how off my Versa, but it looks horrible.

Hi! I suggest getting in contact with Fitbit ASAP. They replaced my tracker for me which was wonderful, but while waiting for my replacement I kept wearing my Fitbit with the line through the screen and over the course of a couple days the screen completely gave out!
