Versa does not support Music app anymore

ANSWERED

I recently found my old versa and remembered the feature for putting music on it locally. So i tried looking for the app but it wasn't available. Is there any other way for me to put music on my watch? Kinda frustrated as the app was really good (according to many users). I can't use Deezer or Pandora as i paid for the watch, i ain't paying for anything else. Please help.

@FIHBIH    Sorry, that won’t work, either.  You need two things to transfer music, Fitbit Connect and your web dashboard.  Both are completely deactivated.

Hi @FIHBIH   Unfortunately, Fitbit/Google removed that feature a few years ago.  You can play the music you loaded, but you can't make any changes.  Fitbit/Google also removed Pandora and Deezer.

I also want to add that rechargeable batteries can degrade in storage.  Don't be surprised if your battery life is reduced.

Hi there, @FIHBIH. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

As  has mentioned, Fitbit officially discontinued the ability to transfer personal music files (MP3s) to all Versa models in late 2022. As of 2026, there is no official, supported way to load new MP3 files onto your Versa.

As mentioned by LZeew, if you already had music loaded onto your watch before late 2022, that music should still be accessible.

The only method that used to work was via a computer (PC/Mac) using Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth. Because the Fitbit Connect desktop app was deactivated, you cannot use the "Transfer Music" option in your watch's music app to add new songs.

@FIHBIH   I apologize if i misread your post.  Fitbit Connect was the feature that transferred personal music from your PC/Mac to a Versa or Versa 2.  It is completely disabled.  Like I wrote, you can play any current music on your Versa.  You can't change it.

@FIHBIH   Fitbit deactivated the software and removed it from the Microsoft Store.  I also need to note that you needed your web dashboard to transfer music, also disabled.
