Versa dying while taking a shower

Hey, I need some help. I have this 2 month old Versa watch but today was the first time I took a shower with it and the watch's first time being in water. When I wash my hands, water gets on it but thats completely fine and I sweat, that does too. After taking a shower, my watch first started glitching then it got better before it got worse, then it died. Can someone please explain why this happens?

Perhaps it's a good opportunity to get a refund while you can?  If that sounds a bit extreme to you, try reading through the threads in this forum, and you'll get the general idea of what to expect in the future.  Random glitches in the software that show up as corruption on screen, ghost steps (tens of thousands at a time) while charging or just anytime really, extremely unreliable GPS connection, etc.  Most of these go back to April and although you'll find many posts on here from Fitbit saying that people are working on the problems, very little gets done and there is nothing indicating any likelihood of things changing anytime soon.  Fitbit are losing money, losing market share and that situation is only accelerating.

Abandon ship while you can.  From what I've read there are no Versa repair shops, even if you were prepared to pay for a fix yourself.  Those getting cracked screens (from things such as doing pushups on a soft mat, dropping Versa onto carpet) have one option and that's to take off the wrist and throw into the bin.  Hopefully you'll never have to face such a terrible decision.
