Versa having syncing issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

hey! So I received a versa for Christmas and ever since it will never continuously sync .

It will sync once then update for maybe a few hours and then the very next day it wont sync all over again. I've done ALL the trouble shooting and it works but only temporarily it's beyond frustrating .

I upgraded from my Charge HR and never had any problems with that.

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

The versa is up to date

My phones software is up to date

And the app is up to date

I'm having the exact same issue with my android phone and I also upgraded from a Charge HR.  Would love to see this issue resolved.

I would really love to receive notifications etc

I received one for Christmas as well and ever since I have been highly disappointed in the watch and fitbit customer service. They pull every excuse except fixing the darn problem. Would love to know how to fix this before i literally trash this watch and go back to my charge2 where I had NO issues ever.

Mine has not synced since December 15th. I am unable to update my Versa. I just reset the watch and deleted and reinstalled my app. Now it wont connect to setup my versa. Beyond frustrated.

@Leighanne23 By any chance, did you delete Versa from your phone bluetooth settings as well? You need to do that too.

Mine is doing the same thing! I have to unpair and then pair it again with my phone! Works fine for a few days then it stops syncing again! Don't know what's going on with it!

I'm using an Oppo A57 and OS is android. I managed to solve the problem last night. I reset my fitbit to factory settings, unpaired it from my phone and uninstalled the Fitbit app.I also unpaired any other Bluetooth devices from my phone before the setup of the Versa. From here I restarted my phone, had Versa in the charging bay and then set up like it was new. The only thing I did different was I turned wifi off and setup the Versa via Bluetooth connection. I am now receiving all notifications that I selected and it's working perfectly with my phone. I hope I don't jinx myself in saying this but I have turned my wifi back on and everything still working.

Very happy with the Versa.

Tried that but still not working. Ask the tech support people and apperantly Oppos arent compatiable at this point. Even though it says its compatible with Android. Shoulda stuck with my blaze!

@Chloe281090 Try this:

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your phone and install Fitbit mobile app. Do not pair in your phone's bluetooth settings
  4. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app
  6. Grant all permissions and sync.

The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app do that.

Additional tips if sync issues persist: If you have Wifi set up, go to Fitbit mobile app and remove it, then sync your Versa. I noticed that it causes issues for me. If you have other Bluetooth devices paired with your phone, forget them. One of them might be causing issues. Also, make sure Always Connected and All day sync are enabled.

Make absolutely sure you have the most up to date version of the Fitbit app installed on your device.  There was an update that came out around 1/25/2019.  I had uninstalled the app on 01/27/2019 and reinstalled it and when I did that it did an update.  Ever since I am having no syncing problems and getting all my notifications.  I have a Samsung galaxy s7 and I have Fitbit app version 2.86 now.  Everything working great!  Hope this helps!
