Versa heart rate readings are not accurate

I glanced at my Versa as I got out of bed this morning and it said my heart rate was 144.  More than 80 bpm beyond a normal wakeup heart rate.  I've factory reset it twice and it's still way off.  Says it 166 at the moment.  Looking at the heart rate history, it shows that I was asleep at 9:00 and in deep sleep from 11:50pm-12:57am, at 11:15 my heart rate was 64, it was 204 at 11:55, dropped to 111 at midnight then 208 at 12:25am.

Hi @nwsoftball, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since it's not tracking your heart rate accurately. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

In order to avoid providing the same information, let me know how the factory reset was performed. In the meantime, try a regular restart. To do so on your device, follow the steps listed in this help article.

After this, turn off the heart rate feature and turn it back on. Finally, monitor your watch during the next 24 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Turning the the heart rate off and then back on got it back to accurate.  I had factory reset the Versa by going to settings, about factory reset on the Versa with no change in how it was recording the heart rate.  I suffer from anemia and monitoring my heart rate is an important part of my well being.  Thank you!
