Versa lite or Versa 2

I need to return the lite I bought less than a week ago due to defect. I am rethinking whether to get the 2 or the lite. Can some who has/had both shine some light on it? From what I read online, the versa 2 doesn't over much more meaningful features than the lite, in particular, I don't care about the oled , always on display, nor the stair climb and swim features. Maybe in real use, the upgrade is more apparent?

Some people say the smart alarm feature might come in the future which i appreciate, but given Fitbit's track record, I am not counting on it (eg: charge 3 SPO2 sensor). Keep in mind that the price difference is 125€ to 199€ . So is it worth it for the 75 premium?

@bigtwister  I have the Versa Lite and I like it.  It was a TSV on QVC last week and I could not pass up the deal.  I compared the features and the features the Versa 2 has I just didn't need or would use.

I would hold off on buying either until the issues with the latest firmware are resolved.

@Aqyx  Not a bad idea, but unfortunately, if you spend enough time in these forums you will discover that there have been numerous issues that have not been addressed or fixed for over a year now. 😞

I should add, the kind of phone you use may have a lot to do with the various problems too.  It appears that iPhones don't play well with others.  🙂

Exactly what I was thinking. I am just afraid to miss out on possible feature upgrade in the future for cheaping out right now ...

Yeah, that new firmware update bricked my lite, which is why I need to return it. I am terrified that it might happen to the new one

@bigtwister  The same thing happened to mine and I did this.  Connect the Lite to the charging cable and plug it into the USB port on your computer.  Log into your Fitbit account online and set the devise up that way.  Turn the Bluetooth on on your computer and turn it off on your phone.  I did this last night and I got my Lite back.  While it did update, it did not update to the newest firmware version that everyone is having problems with and it's working just fine.
