Versa not connecting during run

When I start an exercise ie run my versa often does not connect to my gps. It just says connecting. Sometimes it does connect for a bit and then goes back to connecting. I always have my phone with me. Is there something I can confirm will work outside of wifi areas?  The areas it does work seem to be wifi areas for the most part. This also just started since my last Fitbit update. It used to always work.

When mine takes too long to connect, I force close and restart the app on my phone, and this usually helps. It is much slower to connect than my Blaze was though!

Leave the app open and running in the background on your phone. Doesn't have to be on screen, just open. Works every time that way for me.

Yea there appears to be an issue with it for sure. I find it connects for a bit sometimes and then it starts displaying the connecting message. It’s not working reliably any one way.

I have tried everything. The only solution left is to switch to a Garmin
