Versa: HR not captured in exercise tracking

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa has no issue tracking heart rate throughout the day, but when I switch to Track Exercise, the snapshots of my run used to include heart rate monitoring.  In the last couple months, this has not been included.  During my run (and all other times), I can look at my device and see the HR on my wrist, but I miss having the ability to see where in my run I was hitting peak HR, and have it included in the Exercise stats after the workout is over.

This happened both before and after the apple iOS updates this month.  I've done a couple factory resets/restarts and re-syncs to fix other bugs (notifications, sleep tracking, etc).  Everything else appears to be fixed with the updates, but the HR during tracked exercise is still MIA - a feature that I really would love to get back.

@strafzer can you please post a few screenshots of your runs from the browser? I would like to see what exactly can be/cannot be seen. 😕

 First pic from a few months ago when I would track exercise and heart rate would be captured:

But now it doesn’t include the heart rate in the exercise tracking:

even though HR is still working just fine during any of the “automatically detected” workouts (and always shown on my device, even mid-“track exercise):

@strafzer to see the detailed heart rate you need to tap on the workout (the last picture in your post), e.g. Run. This will take you a level deeper where you can see the detailed HR, calories, impact, etc. 🙂

Ok, I just noticed. This is weird. Does it happen only for Runs or other types of exercise as well? Also, are you on iOS or Android? Are you running the most version of the app? I am on Android, Fitbit app v3.6.1 and I can see HR for runs... One more thing, your HR defitenitely is registered as you can see calories burnt. Can you please go to web browser and check if you can see HR there?

@Marrrmaduke

It only does this when I track my runs with the phone app.  If I start logging exercise from my wrist, I think it's capturing -- I used the fitbit device yesterday when logging a spin class and the HR showed up in the exercise detail just fine.  But I like the GPS tracker in my phone and the audio controls I get from there better than logging from the wrist.  And it *used* to work just fine.  I'm baffled.

HR does not show up on desktop either for the same runs I sent screenshots of, but calories burn is there...

I'm on latest Apple iOS 13.1.1 and Fitbit 3.7 (872).  This has been going on for about 3 months though, and I typically go to the latest updates of iOS and Fitbit around the time they are released, so prior versions were also doing this.
