Versa not counting steps

my fitbit versa does not count steps.  I have tried all the suggestions listed to try and reset it, including turning off etc. There appears to be no dirt in it nor is it too tight on my wrist.

If you have tried restarting the watch and it did not fix it,

you probably need to reload your watch face or re-grant permissions

 

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Clocks

click on the clock you are using and

See all details and

remove the permissions, exit out and sync your watch

Repeat the whole process and reapply the permissions and re-sync the watch.

It may need restarting after..

Hi

Thank you - I just tried it... and then ran upstairs??? Didn’t work- although also says home stairs not always enough - so will go out tomorrow up the hill and see what happens 😁

Hi, I now think you meant stairs not steps?

The remedies are not the same, so as @MarciM  says best you contact support.
