Versa not receiving Text and Phone call Notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I received the Versa for Mothers Day today but I can't get it to link to my Samsung Note 8 for Message or call notification. My calendar links thru the phone so I know Bluetooth etc is working.  I have followed the trouble shooting guide on 4 separate occasions and nothing works... Do I keep hanging on in the hope it works one day or do I take it back for a refund. I love the watch but if it doesn't do what it is meant to do then it is pointless.

Hi there @Lea18, awesome to see you are new in the Fitbit Community! I was reading your post that the Notifications are not going through using your Note 8. My apologies for the late response and thank you for letting me know you have tried the troubleshooting guide on your own.

I'm sure you have the latest version of the app so I will skip this and recommend to reset your app:

log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

Once you have done this try to set up your notifications from scratch one more time:

  1. Unpair your tracker from your mobile device, not your Fitbit account. You can unpair your tracker in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. If you are unsure how to verify or change settings for your mobile device, refer to instructions provided by your device manufacturer. For most Android mobile devices, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find your tracker in the list of paired devices, and then tap Forget or Forget Device to unpair your tracker.
  2. In the Fitbit app, tap Allow notifications access and allow access to the Fitbit Notification Service, and then turn on call, text, or calendar notifications again.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have more troubles.
