Versa not syncing

I have read previous comments and have tried options advised. Reinstalled Fitbit, turned iPhone on and off, turned Bluetooth on and off. Nothing works. I am so annoyed that the versa is only recording about 1/3 of my steps. This is so discouraging. The steps are on my phone and won’t sync. Ph won’t recognise blue tooth. Installed and updated about 4 times now and still won’t work. Disappointing that it does not deliver expectations when so expensive.
