Hello @Tracey_lfc1, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for having reported this to us. Tell me, are you starting an exercise from the Versa or directly from the Fitbit app? If it's from the Versa, are you tracking the activity with connected GPS? Do you wait until the watch "connects" with the phone before starting? Have you restarted your Versa lately by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen?

Please keep in mind that Fitbit devices calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps by your walking stride length and multiplying your running steps by your running stride length. We estimate your stride lengths using your height and sex. With your Versa, when tracking one or more runs using on-board or connected GPS, we evaluate that data to automatically update your running stride length. For best results, run at a comfortable pace for at least 10 minutes.

If you prefer to measure your walking and running stride lengths yourself and enter them manually, see How do I measure and adjust my stride length?

Note that when you're tracking an activity with GPS, Fitbit calculates your distance using GPS data rather than steps. If you begin moving before you get a GPS signal, the tracker will calculate distance using steps and stride length as described above until a GPS signal is found.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply with the information requested as it will be very helpful for me to check this further. Have a great day!

I’m having the same problem. It seems to have started after the last Fitbit update. I’m looking for a remedy.
