Versa not tracking heart rate

The App keeps tracking my heart rate after I have taken my watch off.  Watch is not registering a heart rate, so why is the App?  I have removed the app and removed and re-synced my watch.  Any ideas?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. First, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors of your device are still flashing? Which phone are you using with your Versa? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

  1.   Yes, heart rate sensor is flashing
  2. I am using an IPhone 
  3. My question is, why does the app capture my heart rate after I have removed my watch from my wrist(no heart rate on watch, but app is capturing a heart rate)?

When I checked my app this morning, it was capturing my heart rate at 160+ and I wasn’t wearing my watch.
