Versa not vibrating for email notifications

I have email notifications (from the Gmail app on my Pixel 2 XL) on my new Versa, and they do appear, however, the Versa does not vibrate when they do so, unlike any of the other notifications that I have set up (SMS messages, BBM, WhatsApp etc.). How can I rectify this?

Press and hold the button on the left.  After it vibrates, swipe left and make sure "Notifications" is toggeled on.

Thanks. Notifications are switched on and I do get vibrations and
notifications for the other apps that get forwarded to the Versa, just not
Gmail.
