Google it. Several complaints about Fitbit devices that suddenly stop working after update. Just like the recent update killed my device.
This isn't a coincidence. Local news outlet considering jumping on this one!
Fitbit's "sales tactic" of forcing consumers to purchase new devices by using an "update" to ruin existing devices.

Strange coincidence? I updated the app and within days my Versa died. It will no longer charge. This is the 2nd one that died in 2 years. Fitbit doesn't stand behind their products. Now I'm out ANOTHER $200.00!
They were kind enough to offer a 25% discount on another one, but I don't want to be forced to by another one this time next year. Shame on you Fitbit! Please make products that last!

Happened to me too! I updated the app and had issues with my device ever since. It finally died. I refuse to fork over another $200 for a device that barely lasts a year. The first one died after 10 months and this one lasted a whopping 14 months!
Goodbye Fitbit! Hello Garmin!

I had the same problem. They determined the update my crashed my Fitbit and they replaced it.

Since I applied the last upgrade earlier your week, my fitbit no longer is tracking my sleep or my active minutes. And, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to even restart my fitbit since the upgrade either. 😞
