Versa over counting staircases

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since an update last year my Versa has been counting at least five, often more, staircases for every one I’ve climbed. The next update didn’t fix it. Most days it gives me over 100 staircases, once it gave me over 300. I can’t find a way to correct this.

Hi @W1C, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since it's over counting floors climbed.

In order to prevent this issue from happening again, restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page which explains shy your Fitbit device may count extra floors. Finally, monitor your watch for the next 24 hours and see if it tracks floors accurately.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Thank you for your message. I think you may have missed my last one to you. I tried your suggestions several times over a few days, but unfortunately it didn’t work, my Fitbit still counts staircases in the hundreds. If you have any more ideas they would be welcome.
