Versa registering information while driving

I just purchased a Versa last night. This morning, it logged a lot of steps during my drive to work. I've seen this is a common problem which is at the very least frustrating. After reviewing the forum, I have logged a driving event as suggested and I guess I don't understand what that does or how it works. The event shows that it contributed +544 steps to my total step count. Shouldn't that be a negative number? Am I reading it, or entering it wrong? Please help!

Will this ever be fixed? Is it across all Versa? If I returned it, and got a new one what are the chances it doesn't have this driving problem? FYI, I have downloaded the DriveBit app for the future. That just seems like a crappy workaround.

It also logged 2 floors while I was driving.  How do I correct this?

Hey @chynna802, it's great to see you around.

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this issue. Fitbit has worked hard to make sure that our devices do not pick up false steps or activity recordings while driving. Unless you're driving in a car with a very stiff transmission or on bumpy roads, your device should not give you any false readings.

If your device does record false activity, you can learn how to delete the data by checking the help article How do I edit or delete Fitbit data and activities?.

Let me know if you need anything else. Woman Happy
