Versa screen black - sync and notifications working

My Fitbit has suddenly stopped working. I’ve tried resetting the device by holding the buttons down and it vibrates and the screen comes on as a very dark blue (almost looks off still) but nothing else happens. It is fully charged as I took it off charge this morning. It is also syncing correctly. It vibrates when I get a call or text and for my other notifications. The sensor lights are coming on. My app is showing all activities. I was able to update it even with a black screen. I cannot reset it due to the fact that I cannot see the screen to know when anything shows up or goes away. I tried the button reset, but again, dont know if it's actually resetting and not fixing anything, or its just not resetting and I cant tell because of the screen. What do I need to do to make the screen come back? This is so aggravating. I just got this last Christmas as a present. Wish they wouldn't have spent all that money when it barely lasted over a year.
