Versa screen went blank

I got an update a few days ago, since then my watch would freeze, and now I have a blank screen,  its worked around 2am this morning and now nothing,  I have the green/red flashing lights at black when I try to RESET , 

I've tried to RESET and REBOOT, nothing, Can someone help,  my watch is everything to me,  I'm very result driven and without my watch..well not good for my mental health.

Hi there @Giannesi, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa. I understand how you must be feeling. 

 

In addition to the steps you tried, since it seems that your watch is still syncing, try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

Hello Marre,  thank you for your reply,  I have changed the face but I still don't see anything on my watch,  I can feel the vibrations when incoming calls / messages but I can't see anything, 

 

I know it seems silly to some but with this whole pandemic,  my watch took me to my happy place , I started running and exercising more , and I get a buzz and a addiction from tracking it. 

 

I really hope there is more I can try before my workout tonight.

Hello,

 

I did the update last week and now I have a black screen on my Versa Lite. Thoa is my 3rd replacement, for the same reason. I'm officially done with FitBit. This product is garbage.

Please restart your Versa Lite as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

It doesn't work at all. Nothing. No vibration. No lights. Nothing. It started to lag after the update and when I turned my wrist the screen wouldn't come on. Today, there were weird lines that came on the screen that wouldn't dissappear. Now, its completely black, no vibration, no lights on the back.....and it's fully charged, according to my phone app. So, a factory restart won't work if I can't even turn it on.

I restarted my watch many times, I changed the clock face back to the original one and deleted all the others i had saved , and now I have really messed up, I thought it would be a good idea to remove the device from my app and re add it... but to sync it with my phone a 4 digit pin usually comes up on the watch to input , I can't see the pin do now my watch isn't syncing with my phone ( full on panic now )

I have only the fitbit Versa, I updated a few days ago too and since then ... my watch was freezing and being slow , so this could be all down to that so called update ?? 

 

I thought updates from a trusty company would be safe ?

Total waste of time. Customer service rep was super nice on Chat but all I got was a 35% discount to buy a new one. Thanks for your help and good luck with Fitbit! I'm moving on to another product with better reviews. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Thanks again , I didnt think it could of been to the update but it all makes sense now, my watch isn't old and is in perfect condition,  I like after it well, it was kinda working up to about 2am this morning,  woke at 4ish for baby .. watch was blank .. couldn't sleep after that. Stressed !!!!!

Hi there,

 

I also updated my Vera Lite yesterday morning and since then my home screen is black and doesn't show anything. I can still swipe up or left and see those functionalities but even after several restarts, the home screen doesn’t show anything. 😔

My fitbit Versa stopped working suddenly. Screen is black most of the time. When it shows clockface time and other data is wrong. Restarts over and over.

Your totally right.. not getting any help due to purchasing elsewhere and not Fitbit! Even tho the product is fitbit and the update was fitbit but I have been told to go back to the online shop I purchased it from and question them , but I see this as wrong! I didnt purchase a faulty watch , fitbit update made my watch faulty. 

I think your right .. maybe Fitbit isn't as amazing as I thought. Shame!

Yep. I'm over it. They suck! I'm looking at Samsung fitness watches. At least I can get coverage through my cellphone carrier of something happens to it! I've wasted so much time and money on Fitbit...So Over It.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
