**UPDATE: I have just set up my versa with no issues at all. All working fine so far, so maybe the glitch has been fixed**
I have a versa and I tried to set it up and all I got was a ‘http error 500’. I have spoken with the help desk and we tried everything but nothing worked. After an hour of trying he said there is a fault with the app. Can someone advise when this will be fixed please.

Just wanted to give an update. I did all the following additional steps and still does not pair.
Fitbit said the issue is iOS related, but it's clearly not. There are a lot of other fitness trackers in the market; might be time to give another brand a try. Very disappointed with Fitbit!

I also tried with android- didn’t work. So day three of never being able to get past icon, not allowing the code-I returned it.
The lady at the store also tried everything and nothing worked, iOS failed, Windows 10 failed and Android failed! What a joke!
Return your faulty devices!
I did end up getting another but I have to say it still has teething problems. Deezer doesn’t work but they make you put your PayPal to get it. Steps are not that accurate. Sleep is hit and miss, but will see early days.
Good luck. So glad I returned it otherwise I would still be waiting to set it up.

I just bought the Versa yesterday and I am having this error 500 issue. For a $200 watch, I am not waiting for a while for a fix. I am returning both mine and my sons. This is insane. My friend has the Charge and hasn't had any issues syncing or setting up.

As of this date, in June 2018 I'm having the same problem. Gave my son an Ionic. He also get an Apple watch a month later and let me have the Ionic since i have a Blaze. I cannot pair the Ionic. We've deleted my son's account, tried to add mine and I get the 500 error. The tech told me i have to wait 7 days for my son's account to deactivate, which makes no sense. I have a feeling Fitbit's tech capabilities are seriously lacking. I bought the Ionic on Amazon in February and will likely return it and get an Apple Watch. This is ridiculous.

Just got my versa a few days ago and am getting the http error 500 after the pin part. Has this still not been fixed?

I'm having this same problem. I bought a brand new Versa Lite from the FitBit website to replace my broken Charge 2. Can't set it up on my phone or computer, via wifi or data. Have restarted all devices, uninstalled and reinstalled the apps. No success. Called customer service, which told me it's a hardware issue. It's clearly not a hardware issue. They want me to return it and wait another 8 days to ship it to them, and then another 8 days to receive a new one. No apology, no offers to do anything else. Not even an offer to get a refund.
