Versa shows a "clock error" message

I have a clock error on my Versa.  I’ve read directions on how to reset but nothing worked.  I went to settings to shut it down and that doesn’t work.   I can get to the settings icon but nothing more.   How do I shut it off at this point to restart it.

@Miss1, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it displays a "Clock Error" message. By the way, thank you for trying to restart your Versa before contacting our forums.

If you haven't contacted our Support team as @SunsetRunner advised, please try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the error disappears.

Regarding your question, if the settings icon is the far your watch allows you to get, I'm afraid that there is no other option to turn it off since this is the only way unless you let the battery to drain completely or by restarting your watch as you already did.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I did not recharge my fitbit. The power drained completely. When I charged it again the problem was fixed.

I am getting the same error.  My battery had completely drained from use, and after charging for 48 hours, the versa shows occasionally this error only when in the charger and will not sync with my phone to change the clock face.

@JMRetired, I'm sorry for the late reply. I'll be glad to follow up and help you with the error message that your Versa is displaying.

Please restart your watch as described in this help article. After this, try syncing your watch and change the clock face again in order to see if the change can be done completely.

Let me know how it goes.

I have tried several times to restart my Versa.  I've held in the back button and the bottom button, I've held in all three buttons and it will not turn on.  The ONLY time I see anything on the screen is when it is connected to the charger.  On the few times the screen did anything, I see either the Fitbit icon or the clock error.   The dashboard shows that my Versa is syncing somehow, but when I try to do anything via the mobile app, it cannot find the device.  I've tried several times to change the clock with no success.  I've done this with the device connected to a wall outlet and to the USB port of a computer as well as off the charger.
