I've tried all sorts of things over the years and leap on any suggestion to improve things.
Ever since I swapped a fitbit one which required me to actively switch to sleep mode and out again in the morning and onto my versa I've not been able to detect sleep reliably at all.
I've tried normal and sensitive settings, both arms, sleeping with and without someone else in the bed.
Sometimes I can combine logs and get a reasonable reading for the night, other times combining seems to delete all but the most basic data. I've tried premium and non-premium and quite frankly paying £80 for a year to get no insights at all because the watch doesn't record my sleep properly is more than a little infuriating!
I find this so frustrating, and to be perfectly honest it's becoming the deal breaker for me - if you show me any system that can actually track my sleep reliably then I will jump!

Hello @Kerstilee, it's great to see you around! Thank you for the information and for the tips that you've followed!
I'm very sorry for the experience! One of the recommendations is to wear your device in a snug wristband while sleeping. Take into consideration that when your body is completely at rest and you haven’t moved for about an hour, your Fitbit device records that you’re asleep.
Also, you can get a good night's sleep with Fitbit's sleep tools. You can actually activate bedtime reminders, while you’re in the sleep settings in your Fitbit app, turn on Bedtime Reminders and set it for at least 30 minutes before your ideal bedtime. Your smartphone will notify you when it’s time to start winding down, which can help you fall asleep faster and sleep longer. For more information, please check:
How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
If you believe the device doesn't track all your sleep activity and you haven't restarted, please try this by following the steps here:
How do I restart my Fitbit device?
On a side note, I've your post to another board to keep our forums organized.
Hope this helps!
