Versa steps counting not accurate

I bought a versa a few days ago and I must say I am not impressed.

I noticed from the first day that is not counting the steps accurately as I walk the same distance everyday and my phone is counting around 3500 steps, versa will only count 1500.

Today we have been to LEGOLAND and I literally walked all day and at 22.00 o'clock my versa only registered 5178 steps, 2793 calories and recorded less then 3 km walk and a different app on my phone it is showing that I walked just short of 13 000 steps and 9.3 km. I must mention that my phone was not always on me, but the watch was all the time on my wrist.

I restarted the watch and still doesn't count all the steps.

Any help would be really appreciated please. Is the watch faulty or I am doing something wrong?

Were you swinging your arms in a normal walking manner? If you were carrying or pushing something (a stroller for example) it will not be able to count all your steps as it relys on arm movement. If you were walking normally swinging your arms try doing a step test. Walk 100 paces normal walking (counted) and see how many your Versa says you took. It should be withing +or - 5 of the 100 steps.it

If it off more than this restart it several times and try again. If it us still off do a factory reset (settings app on the watch and scroll down to About) and do the test again. If it is still well off you will need to contact Support (link in my signature)
